Chezka Centeno crushed Vietnam’s Bui Xuang Vang, 9-1, to advance to the women’s final of the APF Asian 9-Ball Championships in Singapore Sunday, Aug. 28.
The victory set up Centeno a meeting with the winner between Koreans Kim Bogeon and Seo Seoa, who are playing at presstime.
Prior to the semis triumph, Centeno bested Southeast Asian Games 9-ball champion and teammate Rubilen Amit, 9-6.
In men’s action, James Aranas clipped Japan’s Naoyuki Oi, 9-6, to also book a finals berth.
The win arranged Aranas a championship meeting with Chinese Taipei’s Ko Pin Yi, who eliminated Johann Chua, 11-2.
