Homicide ruled out in Dacera case

Col. Joseph Palmero, the medico-legal officer who examined the body, said in his expert opinion, the manner of death as homicide is ruled out in Dacera’s case “because the aortic aneurism is considered a medical condition.”In addition, he stated that rape and/or drug overdose will not result to the development of aneurysms.“Based on the available information on hand, the manner of death is classified as natural death,” he said in the report.The Dacera camp is yet to comment on this matter.Earlier, the Dacera family said that they strongly believe that Christine was attacked and raped.On January 1, Dacera was found lifeless in a bathtub in City Garden Grand Hotel in Barangay Poblacion, Makati.On Wednesday morning, January 27, Makati City Police filed additional documentary evidence before the Makati Prosecutor’s Office at City Hall during the continuation of the preliminary investigation.After the preliminary investigation, lawyer Michael Santiago, counsel of the respondents John Pascual Dela Serna III, Rommel Galido, Gregorio Angelo Rafael De Guzman, and Allaine “Valentine Rosales” Chen, said they will submit their counter affidavits on February 3.
