BY JUN RAMIREZA South Korean man has apparently committed suicide inside the Bureau of Immigration (BI) detention facility in Bicutan, Taguig.Son Byeongkweon, 52, was brought to the BI Warden Facility (BIWF) after being intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last Dec. 29.He was wanted by his government for fraud.The victim’s body was discovered by a BI nurse conducting routine checked up of detainees last January 4.Initial investigation showed the alien had apparently committed suicide.Immigration officials said the incident was reported to the Philippine National Police (PNP) to conduct an investigation of the scene.Coordination has likewise been made with the Korean Embassy pending the result of the PNP autopsy.
