Magnolia’s Paul Lee and Jackson Corpuz, one of PBA bubble’s fan-favorite duos, are back at their basketball grind after the holidays.
“No shortcuts. Work for it,” wrote Corpuz in all caps as they pose at the center court of the Ronac ART Center in San Juan.
It would be recalled that Lee and Corpuz are fond of each other and often call themselves “roommates,” a testament that the two have become closer since Corpuz was traded to the Hotshots last year.
In fact, Corpuz helped his roommate in coining the iconic term “Lethal Coffee” during their downtime at the Quest Hotel in Mimosa, Pampanga.
Rubie, Lee’s wife, left a hilarious note on the comment section with a laughing emoji: Nasolo na niya si Paul.
CJ Perez, former teammate of Corpuz in the Columbian Dyip, seconded his caption with a respectful “opo.”
The Magnolia Hotshots fell short against the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters in the quarterfinals of the 2020 PBA Philippine Cup last November at the Angeles University Foundation Sports and Cultural Center.
Lee averaged 19.91 points, 3.91 rebounds 3.09 assists and 1.18 steals per game while Corpuz posted 8. 27 ppg and 6.45 rpg. (Carlo Anolin) ###
