DepEd supervisor killed in Sultan Kudarat ambush

GUNISULAN, Sultan Kudarat – A district supervisor of the Department of Education (DepEd) was gunned down on Wednesday while driving his car along the national highway in President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat.

Police said the victim, Abdul Kadir Sultan, was driving his service vehicle, a Mitsubishi Adventure, on his way to work when waylaid by unidentified gunmen on board a motorcycle along the national highway in President Quirino past 9 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim succumbed to multiple bullet wounds in the body and head.

Lt. Col. Joel Fuerte, spokesperson of Sultan Kudarat Provincial Police Office, said investigators are eyeing personal grudge and work-related issue as possible motives behind the killing.
