14manila north cemeteryAt least 20 persons were arrested Saturday night for partying at the Manila North Cemetery.

Investigation showed that the attendees set up a tent beside graves at the cemetery to celebrate a baby’s christening.

Government-issued health protocols such as wearing of face masks and shields and physical distancing were not observed during the party.

The attendees also ate and drank together and used a videoke, practices discouraged by the Department of Health in light of the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Elements of the Sta. Cruz Police Station arrived and arrested the partygoers.

They are now under police custody and will face charges for violation of health protocols
