P10.7-M marijuana burned in Benguet

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Operatives of Benguet Provincial Police Office (BPPO) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) uprooted and burned some P10.7 million worth of marijuana plants in Bakun, Benguet.

Col. Elmer Ragay, police provincial director, said three marijuana plantation sites were discovered at Sitio Legab, Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet on Nov.25.

The operatives destroyed around 52,200 fully grown marijuana plants and 2,500 marijuana seedlings worth amounting to P10,740,000.

All uprooted marijuana plants were burned on site and only samples were brought by the operatives as evidence.
