Slapshock’s Jamir Garcia, dead at 42

Jamir Garcia, singer of Filipino rock band Slapshock, is dead.

A report from the Quezon City Police District said Garcia, 42, was found lifeless by a relative at his home in No. 14 Production St. Proj. 8, Brgy. Sangandaan, Quezon City around 9 a.m. on Nov. 26.

The relative reportedly tried to save Garcia, rushing him to a nearby hospital, but he was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Slapshock, formed in 1997, has released several albums under Polyeast Records.

Among their hits are “Agent Orange” and Cariño Brutal.”
