BACOLOD CITY – A dead dolphin was found floating in the waters off Barangay San Isidro, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Monday.

Residents brought the dolphin to the shore and took some photos. Some children even got curious upon seeing it.

It was reported to weigh about 350 to 400 kilos.

Personnel of the Department of Agriculture responded and and checked the carcass.

Maj. Roberto Indiape Jr., town police chief, said authorities discovered three injuries on the dolphin but could not determine what caused such wounds.

“It had injuries in the head and body,” he added.

They decided to bury the dolphin in Barangay Bantayanon, since it was already decomposing. (Glazyl Masculino)
