LEA Salonga couldn’t help but react to the numerous flaws found in the Department of Education’s (DepEd) self-learning modules.

The Broadway star took to Facebook recently to repost some of these seemingly to send notice to all concerned.

Among those she reposted is a screenshot of a tracing activity that has an illustration of an owl identified as an ostrich.

She wrote as caption, “For the love of……. there aren’t enough curse words in my vocabulary for this s***!!! THAT IS AN OWL, YOU IDIOTS!!!”

Another is a learning activity that said, “L is for rabbit.”

Salonga said, “Excuse me, I need to gouge out my eyes. QUE HORROR!!!”

It didn’t end there.

The singer-actress also took a gander at a matching activity asking students to correctly identify the colors of a given set of crayons.

The illustrations are in black and white, however, leading Salonga to exclaim, “HOW, HA? HOW? TELL ME, HOOOOOOOOW???”

In a recent virtual conference, Education Undersecretary Toni Umali downplayed the errors.

He said, “Puwede nating sabihin na, as a general rule, undoubtedly our self-learning modules are all quality assured, except for some.

“Inaamin natin na mayroong nakakalusot na mangilan-ngilan.

“Kami po’y nagpapasalamat sa mga nakakakita nito at ipinapaabot sa ating kaalaman.” (Neil Ramos)
