ROCCO Nacino is now a full-fledged navy reservist.
He finished his basic citizen’s military training under the Philippine Navy over the weekend.
The “Descendants of the Sun” star revealed how he coped with the training despite his busy showbiz schedule.
“Pagkagaling taping deretso ako do’n. We have fitness examination, lectures… may physical fitness test. Medyo masakit sa katawan pero kinaya natin siyempre. Ngayon pwede na ko isabak,” he related.
One of his first duties as reservist was to give a talk about patriotism to college freshmen in La Salle.
He shared, “Naibahagi ko sa kanila ‘yung story ko. At the same time, kung bakit gusto naming makapag-instill ng patriotism as early as their age. Sabi ko, it’s a different kind of journey na magkaroon ng ganitong discipline, of course, to eliminate entitlement. Sad to say, ‘yun ang kadalasan sa generation ngayon, sa millennial age. So, I can be of service and of influence sa mga kabat aan na, ‘Hey you can be a good person by serving the country. You want to use the social media to do good.'” (Rampador Alindog)
