Andales vs Thai fighter

WBA Asia Minimumweight champion ArAr Andales will be facing WBA World Champion Thammanoon Niyomtrong in a “champion vs champion” match on Aug. 2 in Bangkok, Thailand.

QuiBors promoter-manager Joseph Quibral said the event is the battle between two undefeated fighters with the Thai owning a 19-0 record while Andales holds a 10-0 mark.

For the Thai, known as Knockout CP Freshmart for being sponsored by a Thai convenience store, Andales will be his sixth Filipino opponent since 2012. He last fought Toto Landero on March 6 last year where he posted a unanimous decision and retaining the WBA minimumweight title.

Andales, on the other hand, took the WBA Asia Minimumweight title last April after beating Cris Ganoza via a unanimous decision.
