Manila Mayor-elect Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has warned village officials against collecting money from street vendors and sidecar drivers.
“Itigil niyo na po ‘yan. I have no choice but to arrest you and poposasan namin kayo. Hindi po namin hahayaan sa bagong gobyerno ng Lungsod ng Maynila na panonoorin ko na lamang ang pang-aabuso ninyo,” Domagoso said.
Domagoso also asked the help of Manila Police District in cleaning and keeping Recto, Juan Luna and Soler Streets passable to all types of vehicles.
The mayor-elect also said he would also allow Manilenos to earn a living on the streets but there will be limitations.
“Ngayon lang kayo makakita ng administrasyon ng pamahalaang lokal na namomosas ng barangay chairman,” he said.
“Aarestuhin namin kung sino man ang manggigipit sa taumbayan sa Lungsod ng Maynila,” he added. (Erma Edera)
