LOS ANGELES – The expensive mansion of Manny Pacquiao at the trendy Hancock Park neighborhood was burglarized on Sunday.

Pacquiao was still on the road from Las Vegas, where he beat Adrien Broner at the MGM Grand, when a patrolling Los Angeles Police Department team found one of the doors open.

It could not be determined what things were taken by the robbers as the LAPD has roped off the property although Bobby Pacquiao, the boxer’s brother, said some designer items and a vault, were items found inside Pacquiao’s second-floor room.

Upon hearing the news, Pacquiao, instead of heading to his mansion, was advised to go to a place in Beverly Hills where his wife Jinkee has been staying at since their arrival in the US last month.

The security detail of Pacquiao is made up of some members of the LAPD and friends residing in the city and its environs.

In the last few weeks and days before Pacquiao left for Las Vegas, people made their way inside the mansion to be in the company of the eight-division champion.

Pacquiao treated everyone who came in to sumptuous meals and also took them in to take part in a darts tournament and fun-filled NBA betting games.

ABS-CBN US correspondent Steve Angeles was assigned to cover Pacquiao’s arrival from Las Vegas when he saw the LAPD cordoning off the property.

This was the second time that a burglary took place in the $12.5 million house Pacquiao purchased in 2011.

In 2012, a break-in happened while Pacquiao was in the Philippines getting ready for the third fight with Juan Manuel Marquez.
