8 p.m. – Alab Pilipinas vs Macau Black Bears

Coming off a second defeat of the season, defending champion Alab-Pilipinas hopes to go get back on the winning track when it takes on the Macau Black Bears tonight in the ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) at the Filoil Flying V Centre, in San Juan.

The Filipinos got their hearts broken on Monday, when Taiwan’s Hsuei-Lin Lee knocked in the game-winning three-pointer with a second left as the Formosa Dreamers escaped with a 73-72 victory.

Reynaldo Balkman scored 27 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a losing effort for Alab. Caelan Tiongson also had an impressive double-double performance with 17 points and 13 boards.

The game is more important for the 7-foot-4 center PJ Ramos, who was a non-factor against Taiwan after getting ejected early in the game.

Despite the defeat, Alab still leads the standings with a 6-2 card.
