Farmer, 69, electrocuted in Quezon

INFANTA, Quezon – A 69-year-old farmer died when he was electrocuted by a live wire in Purok Rosal, Barangay Abiawin, here, Wednesday.

The victim, Daniel Sol Rutas, a resident of the area, was tending to his rice field when he noticed that an electric wire was dangling from a Quezon Electric Cooperative post.

Rutas attempted to fix the wire but was electrocuted and fell to the ground.

The victim, who sustained burns on his both hands, was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.

Police said the family of the victim  suspect no foul play on his death. (Danny J. Estacio)
