POLICE seized some P1.2 million worth of marijuana from two men during a buy-bust operation at a parking lot near the Manila City Hall, Wednesday night.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Guillermo Eleazar identified the suspects as Mhar Vincent Ramos, 22, and Jeff Colorado, 20, both former business students.

Recovered from the suspects were 168 grams of high-grade marijuana or “kush” with an estimated street value of P252,000 and 7.8 kilos of marijuana dried leaves with an estimated street value of P930,000.

Eleazar said that the suspects were selling marijuana through social media and their buyers were mostly students. The high-grade marijuana allegedly came from the United States, he added.

The suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). (Erma Edera)
