The Bacoor Strikers and the Cebu City Sharks toppled their respective rivals on Tuesday in the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League Datu Cup at the Ynares Sports Center.
The Strikers tripped the Rizal Crusaders, 74-63, to improve to 7-4 while the Sharks bested the Valenzuela CDO Idol Cheesedog, 78-75, for their third win in 11 outings.
Gab Banal spearheaded the Strikers with 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists while Mark Montuano and Bon Jovi Cipriano combined for 23 points.
The Sharks, meanwhile, leaned on William Bill McAloney, who pumped in 21 points and 14 rebounds, as well as Rhaffy Octobre, who chipped in 13 points and eight boards.
