LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – A Pangasinan Provincial Jail detainee was found dead inside his cell Wednesday. Police identified the fatality as Markven Calisaan, a 25-year old accused of rape.
Jail guards said they discovered Calisaan hanging by the neck next to his bed at around 8 p.m. He was rushed to the Lingayen District Hospital but it was to no avail with attending physician declaring him dead on arrival.
Police brought Calisaan’s body to Funeraria Escaño in Brgy. Poblacion, Lingayen, for autopsy.
