NUEVA ECIJA POLICE OFICE, Cabanatuan City – Three people allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade were killed by police in separate anti-criminality drives before midnight Monday.
Suspect Edwin Almerido alias “Bunganga,” 54, was killed in Cabanatuan City around 9:40 p.m. after he allegedly shot it out with arresting officers.
A .38 pistol and 10 sachets of shabu were recovered from him. In San Jose City, a certain Ronnie de Guzman was killed when he fired at police operatives.
Recovered from the crime scene was a .45 caliber handgun. In Talavera, a certain Eddie Esquivel was killed at around 10:30 p.m. following a buy-bust operation. He yielded several sachets of shabu.
