A fire hit the warehouse of a slippers factory on Pacheco St. in Barangay Balubaran, Valenzuela City yesterday afternoon.

Investigation revealed that the fire started at around 1 p.m.

Reports said that the fire reached fourth alarm at around 1:55 p.m. due to the combustible materials inside the warehouse of Pantex Corp.

The fire reached Task Force Alpha at around 2:14 p.m.

Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian said nobody was injured or killed in the fire. “No one’s injured. All employees of the slipper factory are safe. It is the warehouse of the factory which was razed,” Gatchalian said.

“The company has complete permits. The company told me that all their employees are complete and safe,” he added. (Jel Santos)
