Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love complained of soreness to his left knee against the Denver Nuggets and underwent MRI recently. He will sit out when the Cavs visit the Minnesota Timberwolves this Tuesday, Valentine’s day.

Love complained of pain in the Cavs’ 125-109 home win over the Denver Nuggets and is expected to undergo additional treatment and re-evaluation.

Love is averaging 20.0 points, 11.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Cavaliers, who have won five of their past six games to improve to 37-16. Channing Frye is likely to replace Love in the starting lineup for the Cavaliers. The Cavs now only have Frye, Tristan Thompson and new recruit Derrick Williams as their healthy big men.

Love was named as one of the reserves for the East in the annual All-Star matchup to be played at New Orleans but may opt out due to the injury.
